For the big ones and the little ones, from Disney's ‘Fantasia’ to Stravinsky's “Firebird” and our own magical world.
Beatrice Berrut, piano
The programme "Abracadabra" by Swiss pianist and composer Beatrice Berrut unites all generations and temperaments that are welcome at Keys to Heaven: the big and the small, the quiet and the cheeky, the thoughtful and the playful.
Beginning with Paul Dukas' “Sorcerer's Apprentice”, a piece based on Goethe's ballad that was used as the film score in the Disney classic “Fantasia”, the morning at Esterházy Palace sparkles with fabulously grand ballet music such as Stravinsky's colourful "Firebird" or Prokofiev's enchanting Sleeping Beauty, lets us whirl over the graves of a Parisian cemetery with Saint-Saëns' “Danse Macabre” - and also leads us into self-reflection with Beatrice Berrut's “Untold Tales”, in which she draws sensitive portraits of inspiring women.
